Bachelor of Engineering Technology Program Outcomes (POs)

The following are the program outcomes of the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BET) program of 缅北禁地. These are expected from the students by the time of their graduation:

Program Outcomes Common to all programs in 缅北禁地-IIT

  • To keep abreast of latest developments in the specific field of practice;
  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing using English, Filipino;
  • Work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams;
  • Demonstrate professional, social, ethical, and environmental responsibility;
  • Preserve and promote 鈥淔ilipino historical and cultural heritage鈥 (based on RA 7722);
  • Advocate for peace in multi-cultural settings.

Program Outcomes Specific to Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BET)

  • Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering technology fundamentals and an engineering technology specialization to be defined and applied engineering technology procedures, processor, systems, or methodologies;
  • Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze broadly-defined engineering technology problem reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to their discipline or area of specialization;
  • Design solutions for broadly-defined engineering technology problems and contribute to the design of system, components or processes to meet specified needs w/ appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental consideration;
  • Conduct investigation of broadly defined problem; locate, search, and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusions;
  • Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modeling, to broadly-defined engineering technology activities, with an understanding of the limitations;
  • Function effectively as an individual and as member or leader in diverse technical teams;
  • Communicate effectively on broadly defined engineering technology activities with the engineering technology community and with social at large, by being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentation, and give and receive clear instruction;
  • Demonstrate understanding of social health, safety, legal, and cultural issues, and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering technology practice;
  • Understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering technology practice;
  • Understand the impact of engineering technology solutions in societal and environment context and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development;
  • Demonstrate and awareness and understanding of management and business practices such as risk and change management and understand their limitations;
  • Recognize the need for, and have the ability to engage in independent and life-long learning;

Program Outcomes Specific to Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BET)

  • Identify, discuss, formulate solutions and solve environmental engineering and planning problems thru profound understanding of environmental engineering and core planning principles and practices;
  • Plan, design, improve, innovate, and supervise environmental engineering and planning systems, or processes to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, civil, health and safety and sustainability in accordance with regulations and standards;
  • Possess knowledge and understanding in environmental engineering, sound environmental planning, sustainable environmental design, conservation and sustainable use of resources and the ability to apply such knowledge to provide solutions to actual problems and environmental planning issues.

  • Ability to generate new knowledge in the form of research or developmental projects to support national or regional and local development.
