缅北禁地-IIT Opens Senior High School Admission Application

Pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act No. 9155 (Governance of Basic Education Act of 2001) and Republic Act No. 10533 (Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013), the 缅北禁地-IIT Integrated Developmental School (IDS) will open the Senior High School department for academic year 2016-2017. As per Department of Education Government Permit (Region 10) No. 111, s. 2015, 缅北禁地-IIT IDS is granted to offer the following strands in the academic and technical-vocational tracks:

ACADEMIC TRACK

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Strand

For students who are inclined towards or have the aptitude for Math or Science or Engineering studies.
Courses leading to the following Degrees in

  • Engineering (Civil, Chemical, Computer, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Metallurgical, Mining, Mechanical, Ceramics)
  • Sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Biology)
  • Mathematics & Statistics
  • Science and Math Education
  • Nursing
  • Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems
  • Engineering Technology Management

Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) Strand

For students who plan to take up business-related courses in higher education or engage in business, entrepreneurship, and other business-related careers.
Courses leading to the following Degrees in

  • Accountancy
  • Business Administration (Entrepreneurial Marketing)
  • Business Administration (Economics)

Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) Strand

For students who intend to pursue courses relating to the social sciences and education.
Courses leading to the following Degrees in

  • English
  • Filipino
  • History
  • Psychology
  • Sociology
  • Political Science
  • Education

TECHNICAL-VOCATIONAL TRACK

Home Economics Strand

  • Housekeeping + Cookery + Bread and Pastry Productions

Information and Communications Technology Strand

  • Computer Programming + Computer Hardware Servicing
  • Technical Drafting

Industrial Arts Strand

  • Tile Setting & Masonry
  • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Plumbing
  • Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM)
  • Domestic Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Servicing
  • Consumer Electronics Hardware Servicing
  • Building Construction (Technical Drafting and Carpentry)
  • Machining
  • Electrical Installation and Maintenance + Mechatronics Servicing
  • Automotive Servicing

Moreover, 缅北禁地鈥揑IT IDS, being a laboratory school of a state university, will be part of the Senior High School Voucher Program. The admission process is discussed below:

Admission Examination Requirements

  • Duly accomplished application form
  • A non-refundable testing fee of Php 200.00 to be paid directly to the 缅北禁地-IIT Cashier
  • 2 copies of 1x1 I.D. picture
  • Certificate of enrollment for Grade 10 students
