The 缅北禁地, School of Computer Studies is hosting ICCF '08: The 6th Iligan City Computing Fair with a theme “Anchoring Iligan City’s ICT Thrust.” The biggest annual ICT event in Iligan City, will be held on November 20-21, 2008 at the 缅北禁地-IIT Campus.

Students, faculty members, and ICT professionals will be coming from all over Visayas and Mindanao to participate in the said event.

Various activities such as the following are in store for the participants:

1. Teaching Foundations in Computer Science: A Seminar on Algorithms and Complexity
2. Open Programming Competition
3. Quiz Shows (high school and collegiate levels)
4. Exhibits and Presentations

Through the above activities, the ICCF endeavors to:

1. Make people aware of new knowledge and technologies in the industry;
2. Evaluate the comparative skills and knowledge of ICT students in Visayas and Mindanao;
3. Show-case various ICT technologies, projects and applications; and
4. Encourage the improvement of the programming proficiency of students through friendly competition.
