Announcement for the NEC FOUNDATION, INC. UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS for Academic Year 2009-2010

The NEC Foundation, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit Filipino corporation dedicated to assist in the education of Filipinos in the areas of Computers and Electronics & Communication Engineering.

NECFI APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UP TO FEBRUARY 16, 2009

Applications are available for scholarships for Academic Year 2009-2010 in the following academic programs:

• BS in Electronics and Communication Engineering (BSECE)
• BS in Computer Engineering (BSCoE)
• BS in Computer Science

Applicants for BS scholarships should meet the following criteria:

1. Natural-born Filipino Citizen
2. In need of financial assistance
3. Not more than twenty-two (22) years old at the time of award
4. Incoming freshman, or currently enrolled in college

Benefits of BS scholarships:

• Tuition and miscellaneous of up to Php25,000.00 per academic year
• Textbooks and school supplies at Php5,500.00 per academic year
• Living allowance of Php3,600.00 per month (including the summer session if enrolled)
• Special project allowance of up to Php12,000.00 for class projects for the duration of the academic program
• Two (2) economy class round trips per academic year between the permanent residence to place of study
