Overview

While still a mystery or distant thought to many people in IT, Agile Software Development is actually mainstream now in the global IT market. Fortune 500 companies like Google, IBM, Microsoft, and Cisco are rapidly realizing the benefits of Agile. Worldwide, more projects than ever are choosing Agile over the traditional "waterfall" software development lifecycle. This talk will give you an overview of Agile and will tell you what and why you need to know about it as a student about to embark on a professional career in IT or as a current IT professional.

Junilu is guiding his team at Cisco through its Agile transformation and is currently a member of Agile@Cisco, a group that is facilitating Agile transformations at Cisco worldwide. Junilu has over 20 years of experience in IT and is a Certified Java Programmer and Certified Scrum Master.
