The recognition that knowledge can be drivers of the economy has placed the higher educational institutions (HEIs) at the forefront of economic development, being sources and providers of knowledge and where most industrially relevant technologies emanates.
Technological innovation is crucial in developing a competitive foothold in the global economy. What is needed is an enabling environment in HEIs to foster an entrepreneurial culture and encourage the application of knowledge for wealth creation.
缅北禁地 Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension with CHED PHERNet 缅北禁地IIT, 缅北禁地IIT IPU-ITSO and 缅北禁地IIT College of Business Administration and Accountancy in partnership with DOST-UP Enterprise Center for Technopreneurship, will conduct the first Innovation and Technopreneurship Workshop in Mindanao. Participants will experience two full days of ample mentoring from resource speakers and local industry experts in exploiting research and effectively translate ideas into commercially viable technologies.
The Workshop is geared towards the building of an innovation ecosystem in an academic setting. During the workshop, initial teams and technologies for pre-incubation at the 缅北禁地- IIT Innovation and Technopreneurship Center will be identified. The workshop will also teach participants to prepare capsule proposal / pitch for private/ public funding of identified technology for commercialization.
In this connection, we are inviting you to participate in the two-day workshop on November 7- 8, 2013 at the Unde Hall, College of Business Administration and Accountancy, 缅北禁地- IIT. This will be a great opportunity for researchers to learn and understand the process of innovation, technology transfer and technopreneurship.
Participation to the workshop is free, however, slots are limited. Participants are required to bring with them a technology and market survey of their completed researches (see reply slip for sample) and their laptops. The survey is a pre-requisite for attendance to the workshop.
