Abstract Rice farming technologies are revolutionizing agriculture, boosting productivity and financial efficiency, empowering men and women, promoting sustainable practices, and improving livelihoods. The study determines the demographic characteristics of the farmers and investigates the adoption of rice farming technology particularly the machineries adopted by men and women farmers in Misamis Oriental and Lanao del Norte, Northern Mindanao, Philippines. A total of 286 farmers, comprising 156 males and 130 females, participated in the survey, providing insights into their backgrounds, utilization patterns, and perceptions of rice farming technologies. Findings indicate that both men and women farmers exhibit diverse characteristics, including age, marital status, educational background, farming experience, and technical expertise. The study identifies various rice farming technologies adopted by farmers, shedding light on the prevalent practices in rice farming technology. Additionally, perceptions of technology acceptance are assessed through perceived ease of use, usefulness, and Attitude toward use. Results suggest significant relationships between these dimensions, indicating that farmers' perceptions influence their acceptance and utilization of rice farming technologies. Consequently, the study highlights the moderating effects of gender on the acceptance and utilization of technologies. Gender significantly influences farmers' attitudes towards technology adoption, indicating varying perspectives and needs among male and female farmers. The findings contribute to understanding factors affecting technology acceptance in agricultural settings and inform strategies for enhancing technology adoption.
