Qualifications, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preferably a graduate of BET-Chemical Engineering Technology, BS in Environmental Engineering, BS in Chemical Engineering, BS in Chemistry or related fields
- Conduct literature reviews on magnesium sequestration, including recent advancements and challenges.
- Conduct laboratory experiments on magnesium sequestration through seeded mineral carbonation method.
- Prepare and handle chemical reagents, samples, and materials.
- Monitor reaction kinetics, pH, temperature, concentration and other key parameters affecting sequestration.
- Record experimental results and analyze data using statistical tools and software and Interpret results and compare them with theoretical models or previous studies.
- Identify trends, correlations, and possible improvements in sequestration methods and interpret results and compare them with theoretical models or previous studies.
- Prepare quarterly assessment reports, research manuscript for technical report, and scientific papers for publication and presentation.
- Process project-related documents.
- Assist in training new lab members or undergraduate students.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Project Leader.
