Job Description:
- Compile and analyze statistics and use them to calculate insurance risks and premiums.
- Retrieve numerical data from different databases.
- Incorporate the data into complex worksheets.
- Work with the data to prepare charts and graphs.
- Use own judgment to interpret the trends and anomalies evidenced in the charts and graphs.
- Share findings with the mathematician you will be working with and the owner of the company.
- The mathematics is related to actuarial math, the math of insurance.
- Conduct research to determine exactly how the math is calculated in other State and throughout Canada.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Mathematics degree or equivalent
- Must be willing to work on a night shift
- Knowledge with the following is helpful but not required: MS Access, Tableau, Experience Rating for Workers’ compensation Insurance
- Must have knowledge on MS Office
- With superb English communications skill, both written and oral
- Internet savvy
- With outstanding analytical and reading comprehension skills
- Keen to details and must be accuracy of information oriented
- Able to meet deadlines
- Can work well with less supervision
- Can follow the supervisor’s instructions
- Knows how to handle the pressure of work
