The Capacity Development: Excellence in Leadership for Higher Education is a project under the “Leadership Capacity Development for Futures Thinking and Strategic Foresight Program,” organized by the Executive Education Unit of the Institute for Policy Innovation and Leadership (EEU-IPIL).

This project has been approved by the University as per Special Order No. 01017, s. 2024. This endeavor reflects the university’s commitment to continuously advancing academic excellence in higher education. Its goal is to
encompass a broad range of crucial leadership areas, aiming to empower participants to become well-rounded academic leaders.

This program will be dynamic, blending theoretical knowledge with practical, real-world applications. It will include case studies, workshops, discussions, and simulations tailored to the public higher education context, ensuring that participants can directly apply these insights to their leadership roles within their respective institutions.

The program consists of two modules: (1) Leadership Foundations in Higher Education and (2) Tools for Leading in Higher Education. The conduct of the Module 1 was in accordance with Special Order No. 01017, s. 2024: Granting of Authority to the Executive Education Unit - Institute for Policy Innovation and Leadership, to Conduct Module 1 Training: Leadership Foundations in Higher Education from July 1-5, 2024, at the University Conference Room. On the other hand, the conduct of Module 2 will be on November 6-9, 2024, in Cagayan de Oro City.
