By virtue of Board of Regent Resolution No. 163, series of 2015, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for
International Affairs has the following mandate:
- Act as central coordinating office in leading the process of integrated internationalization and
global engagements of the Institute;
- Coordinate and oversee the development and updating of policies and guidelines pertaining to
international affairs;
- Coordinate and oversee the establishment, development and review of the Institute University's formal
bilateral and multilateral relations and programs with global partners;
- Spearhead the integration of global perspectives into the curriculum;
- Provide leadership to engage the community served in global awareness initiatives;
- Provide logistical, technical and administrative support for international engagement in campus or
abroad;
- Coordinate and oversee the international diplomatic relations strategy with key government agencies
and diplomatic missions overseas;
- Coordinate the development, promulgation and oversight of protocol for the management of high level
incoming international visits and delegations;
- Lead and coordinate in the management of an international visitor program for high level visitors to
the University;
- Plan and coordinate on offshore visits undertaken by senior officials of the Institute University;
- Coordinate on matters involving endowment funds, scholarships and other grants from foreign sources;
- Ensure that management review is conducted in all activities of the OIA
