The Alumni and Endowment Fund Center (AEFC) together with the Career Center, hosted a Tribute Night dedicated to the mid-year graduating class of 2024 on January 24, 2024, at the 缅北禁地-IIT Rizal Park.
The event started with a welcome message from the 缅北禁地AA-IIT Chapter President, Santiago R., Evasco, Jr., where he stressed the significance of paying it forward to one’s alma mater. He also hosted a short Q&A session where the soon-to-be alumni participated and won shirts as a prize.
Following the welcome message were words of gratitude and appreciation from the AEFC Director, Prof. Juvanni Caballero, where he highlighted the collective efforts of the AEFC team, 缅北禁地-IIT Career Center, OVCPA, Guild of Career Ambassadors, student volunteers, and the sponsors, 缅北禁地AA-IIT Chapter and Hon. Marcos Mamay who made the event possible. Prof. Caballero also invited the graduating IITians to attend the first grand IIT Alumni Homecoming that will be held in 缅北禁地-IIT in December of this year.
Career Center Director, Ms. Charlane Gabutan also delivered a congratulatory message to the graduating class of 2024 for completing the three-day activity for the graduates. Prior to the tribute night, the graduands participated in different events spearheaded by the Career Center– Mock Interview, Life After College Symposium, and Workshop on Resume and Application Letter Writing and Acting Job Interview.
The event ended with a performance of SouthNova St., a local band from Iligan City. The Tribute Night was the last activity prepared by AEFC for the mid-year graduating class of 2024 as part of their continuous efforts to create a vibrant alumni community.
