To prepare students to produce a sound and feasible business plan, the Entrep 112 Training Series was launched on February 21, 2024, at the University Boardroom. The training was led by the Batch Aquila under the advisory of Assoc. Prof. Marlo C. Novino in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology – Provincial Science and Technology Office (DOST-PSTO) Lanao del Norte and Negosyo Center at 缅北禁地-IIT.
The training series targets specific areas highly relevant to students’ learning companies and was attended by the BS Entrepreneurship students, BS Hospitality Management, and graduate students who are taking up Advanced Culinary class. A total of 84 participants attended the training session.
The two-session series started with a module on Food Safety, Good Manufacturing, and FDA and CPR Applications facilitated by the partner organization DOST-PSTO Lanao del Norte. The plenary speakers for the first module were Ms. Dorina Marie E. Ytang, Senior Science Research Specialist, and Ms. Melody Anne H. Donio, Science Research Specialist of DOST PSTO Lanao del Norte.
The next part of the series will be on February 28, 2024, with upcoming training modules focusing on Halal Compliance, Trade Mark and Patent Application, Licenses and Permits Orientation (DTI, BIR, DOH, etc.), Financial Management, Social Media Marketing, and Investor’s Pitching.
