BS Hospitality Management (HM) students from the College of Economics, Business, and Accountancy (CEBA), Jonalie G. Bontuyan, Maria Sara Esther B. Amper, Trisha Maxine L. Real, and Jhasel A. Amorcillo, whose thesis paper entitled “Factors of Outsourcing Third-Party Logistics (3PLs) among Local Food Service Establishments in Iligan City” was accepted and presented at the recent 4th St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) International Hybrid Multidisciplinary Research Conference, held on May 22-23, 2024, in Bacoor City, Cavite.
The conference, which was done through a hybrid presentation, had the theme, "STARDOM (Strategizing Towards Advancement in Research Development for Outcome-Driven Milestones)” and was organized by the SDCA together with Emerald Publishing.
The paper of the students was co-authored by their adviser, Assoc. Prof. Donnavic A. Dumapias, Asst. Prof. Beatriz A. Cañedo and Assoc. Prof. Stephen C. Fajardo from CEBA. The presentation was delivered by Jonalie G. Bontuyan, the lead author of the group, via Zoom.
According to Bontuyan, the conference served as “an open and collaborative environment that encouraged the development of new ideas, enhanced productivity, and drove innovation across various resources and services.”
A total of 157 qualified participants composed of professionals, undergraduates, and senior high school students from universities and colleges within and outside the Philippines participated.
Through Emerald Publishing, the participants will have the opportunity to publish their papers. Bontuyan added that the editorial board is still processing the peer review of each paper presented.
