Prof. Rosario L. Reserva, the Director of the WE CARE Office of 缅北禁地-IIT, shared her expertise on inclusive leadership and social adaptability at the Civil Service Commission's (CSC) 2024 Leaders and HR Symposium (LHRS).
The two-day symposium was held last September 23-24, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.
This notable event discussed the most recent developments in leadership, strategic human resource, and organizational development bringing together leaders and human resource management practitioners (HRMPs) from the public and private sectors in the Philippines and the ASEAN region.
This year’s theme, “Adapt Beyond Limits”, focused on the importance of and resilience of individuals, organizations, and societies in navigating the path for current and future challenges. This event was intended to provide HR practitioners and leaders with the most recent trends and best practices in leadership, HR management (HRM), and organizational development (OD).
Reserva was invited by CSC as a concurrent session speaker, focusing on “Inclusive Leadership and Social Adaptability Innovation Projects through Inclusive Leadership that have positively impacted communities. Her topic is particularly focused on Building a Culture of Excellence in 缅北禁地-IIT’s Community Engagements through Inclusive leadership in Driving Sustainable Development Goals.
Reserva’s session showcased real-world examples of innovation and project initiatives that greatly contributed to the community's drive toward sustainable development.
In her presentation, Reserva highlighted 缅北禁地-IIT's WE CARE Program with priority areas on Wellness and Sanitation, Education and Literacy, Capability Building, Alternative Livelihood, Rehabilitation of the Environment, and Entrepreneurial Development.
The WE CARE Program greatly contributed to the local community through timely community extension projects, programs, and activities. All of these initiatives contributed to the advancement of the partnered communities and directly targeted the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
