缅北禁地-IIT showcases research undertakings at Belgium conferences

缅北禁地-IIT has once again demonstrated its commitment to research excellence by securing the acceptance of five papers at the prestigious conferences “15th International Conference on Emerging Ubiquitous Systems and Pervasive Networks” (EUSPN-2024) and the “14th International Conference on Current and Future Trends of Information and Communication Technologies in Healthcare” (ICTH-2024) which took place from October 28 to 30, 2024 in Leuven, Belgium. 

With a highly competitive acceptance rate of 30%, this achievement underscores the quality and innovation of 缅北禁地-IIT's research. Of the five accepted papers, four were successfully presented at the conferences, showcasing the institution's dedication to sharing groundbreaking research with the global scientific community. Notably, a faculty member from 缅北禁地-IIT chaired one of the sessions, facilitating high-level discussions and further enhancing the university’s presence at the international event.

Among the accepted papers was “Exploring Nanoparticle Dynamics: Simulating Brownian Motion in Blood and Saltwater Using Monte Carlo Simulation,” co-authored by Gc Neal Christian Clarin, Orven Llantos, and Maynard Limbaco. This paper investigated the behavior of nanoparticles in complex fluids, emphasizing its implications for drug delivery and environmental science.

Another notable contribution was “Eyeway: An Artificial Intelligence of Things Pothole Detection System with Map Visualization,” authored by Leonhel Fortin, Arjean Rose Delos Santos, Pul Joven Cagud, Paul Rodolf Castor, and Orven Llantos. This innovative system utilized AI and IoT technologies to enhance urban infrastructure monitoring, showcasing the institute’s commitment to addressing real-world challenges.

The third paper, “Real-Time Tracker for Moving Objects with Enhanced Signal and Customized User Interface through Broadcasting Global Positioning Systems Data,” was authored by Orven Llantos, Olga Joy Gerasta, Jefferson Hora, Eddie Mondejar, Earl Ryan Aleluya, Jesrey Martin Macasero, Andrea Delos Santos, Preus Manulat, Terrence Jefferson Cimafranca, Helmar R. Israel, and Edejed Paculba. This project, part of the TRACKER grant funded by DOST-X, emphasized advancements in geospatial tracking technology through enhanced GPS signal processing.

Additionally, the paper “Asynchronous Inter-Class Project Collaboration Adaptation Method to Agile Practices in University Context,” authored by Lucman Abdulrachman and Orven Llantos, explored the integration of agile methodologies in university project collaborations, aiming to improve teamwork and project outcomes in an academic setting.

While the paper “Classification of Dividing and Non-Dividing Cells in Allium cepa Assay Using YOLOv8” was not presented, it remains a significant contribution to the field of cell biology. This research has the potential to advance our understanding of cell division and has implications for various biomedical applications. This study was authored by Rachel Anne B. Balagbis, Trisha Mae P. Beleta, Sophia Nicolette C. Amasa, Shemaiah L. Montilla, Benjamin D. Mangondaya, Jennifer Joyce M. Montemayor, and Malikey M. Maulana.

The EUSPN and ICTH conferences served as vital platforms for knowledge exchange, focusing on the latest developments in ubiquitous systems, pervasive networks, and ICT applications in healthcare. By participating in these prestigious events, 缅北禁地-IIT underscored its commitment to advancing research and innovation across multiple disciplines.
